We were recently approached to consider the potential acquisition of Eyewear Accessories.
Background
Due to retirement, the owners were looking to pass on their company to one that aligns closely with their vision and values. During the handover agreement negotiations, maintaining and growing their existing relationships was always at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
We are both husband and wife partnerships with an interest in problem-solving optical products, based on our own experiences.
In addition, we are both committed to the highest standards of service and upholding a professional reputation.
The resulting synergy since we have acquired Eyewear Accessories under our umbrella has been a success. The range is quite technical in terms of lens types, frame styles and sizes, glazing, replacement eyecups and magnets. Staff training has been paramount and we are all gaining confidence with each query we receive.
About dry eye glasses
7eye dry eye glasses are made to an exceptionally high optical standard and are both well-received and relied upon by dry eye, blepharitis and allergy sufferers.
An innovative soft eyecup, in an adjustable, wraparound style frame, forms a peri-orbital seal that creates a moisture chamber to protect the eyes from tear evaporation caused by drafts, cold winds, dry summer breezes and irritation from airborne allergenic particles such as dust and pollen.
Eyes are kept comfortable and moist during outdoor activities such as cycling and walking as well as indoor computer or screen watching and air-conditioned offices or flights.
7eye SharpView™ lenses
There is a choice of foam or clear windblocking eyecups, various frame shapes, sizes and 7eye SharpView™ lens options available including; clear, grey/copper, blue light blocking, photochromic, polarised and 2 dark options for those who are extremely sensitive to light.
7eye SharpView™ lenses are optically correct, de-centred and shatter resistant to ensure superior clarity in every direction. All 7eye lenses include 100% UVA+UVB sun protection. An antifog coating is applied on the reverse of each lens (excluding polarised lenses) to help reduce fogging. Every lens is custom-cut to fit your patient’s optical needs and are never mass produced.
Additional information
Prescription lenses can be fitted to most of the frames depending upon shape by a glazing laboratory, we have a partner lab we can recommend if necessary.
Also, replacement lenses, eyecups and magnets are available on most models. Most are held in stock, the lenses we can order in with a lead time of 3-4 weeks.
The 7eye dry eye glasses form a compact range that can be stocked individually or on small, counter top display stands for patient’s to self-select and try on for a perfect fit.
